We saw baby Mountain Goats... we couldn't pet, feed or do anything to effect them... there's a fine of 300$ for touching one... **Sad Face** They probably had some disease on them anyway...
My mom was the one who started driving up the mountain... (1 hour up, 1 hour down) until she got to a part right on the edge of the cliff... she was a wee bit scared... she stopped at the first place... and my dad drove the rest of the way... much to my dismay... There were needlepoint turns... my dad was driving, like, 30 MPH and yeah... We were on the outside lane... My brother was like "Uh, Dad? Could you take the turns a little slower? Sis' is looking a little green..."
And I'm pretty sure I was... but not from Dad's sharp turns... By this point, (Half-way up the mountain) The Altitude Sickness was in full swing... my stomach was lurching... My head was hurting like I'd just hit myself in the face with a Softball bat... Believe me... I know this by experience... After another half an hour, we got to the summit... Took a bunch of pictures... got my head throbbing even worse... listened in on a Ranger Talk... and then headed back down the mountain... The Summit took about half an hour... UGH!!!!!
After we got down to the bottom of the Mountain... we decided to take the 'Scenic Route' back to Denver... I think you can guess where this is going... It ended up being shrouded by trees... and curvy... and STILL TOO HIGH FOR COMFORT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My headache got worse because of the curves... this time I almost threw up... Gross right? What's with me and trowing up? Sorry, back to the problem at hand...
It was twice as long as the ride over... and we came out somewhere we had know idea where it was... eventually we found our way back to Denver... By that time, my headache was almost completely gone... THANK GOODNESS!!!!!!!!!!!
That's the highlights of today... yep...
P.S. I took all these pictures... with my headache... **HAPPY DANCE**
